Tempil inks are specialized inks which are used in the medical field for sterilization purposes. Tempil inks usually contains 50 – 70% solids. These solids are active ingredients which gives color change in solid states under either steam, gas (ethylene oxide or formaldehyde), plasma, dry heat, radiation process.
Steam is the oldest and most common sterilization process used in medical and related applications. Its proven effectiveness is further enhanced by being both reliable and economical. In this process, the item to be sterilized is placed in a chamber.
Steam process can be of 2 types: Water based and Solvent Based. Here is the list of water based.

Long Cycle: Saturated steam at 250°F/121°C for 10 minutes
Short Cycle: Saturated steam at 273°F/134°C for 2 minutes
